Bell Victim Of Pneumonia The people of Cairo have been very greatly aroused and grieved during the past week over the illness and death of their friend, Robert A. Bell. After ten days suffering from influenza-pneumonia, he died at his home here Tuesday afternoon about four o'clock. Mr. Bell with his estimable family moved here from Webster County about ten years ago. He has been actively engaged in the turpentine business here, being the largest turpentine operator in this section. He was a very progressive business man. "Bob" as he was addressed by his friends, possessed many admirable traits of character. He was always in the best of humor, having a cheerful word for everybody and so often a hearty laugh as he chatted by the wayside. His host of admirers will miss his pleasant greetings. He was 46 years of age, a member of the Baptist church, Masons, Knights of Pythias and Woodmen of the World Besides his widow, he leaves for sons and four daughters; the sons are: Walter C. Bell of Bainbridge, Arthur Bell of West Point, N.Y.; Bryan and Clifford Bell of Cairo; his daughters are: Mesdames A. C. Roddenbery and F. A. Richter, Jr., and Misses Janie and Mildred Bell of Cairo. He is also survived by three brothers and one sister: H. F. Bell of Macon, Dr. F. E. Bell of Sylvester, Solicitor R. C. Bell of Cairo, and Mrs. George E. Hart of Sylvester. The funeral and burial services were held Thursday morning at 11:30 o'clock in the local cemetery. Rev. J. G. Christian assisted by Rev. J. B. Wight, conducted the services. May the goodness of His grace comfort the hearts of these bereaved ones. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.2 Kb
