L. Sutton Victim of Pneumonia Mrs. Raymond L. Sutton died at her home at Greenville, Fla. at 11:50 o'clock last Tuesday evening. She had been sick for two weeks with influenza- pneumonia. She was Miss Susan Pearce before her marriage to Mr. Sutton. She was born October 7, 1878 about five miles north-west of Cairo, in what is known as the old Pearce home. Mrs. Sutton lived in this County until about ten years ago, but with her husband and two little girls, she then moved to Florida. She was in her forty-first year; a loyal member of the Baptist Church; true to the teachings of her parents and Godly in her daily walk. She leaves her husband, two daughters, Misses Willa and Clara Sutton, of Greenville, Fla., one sister, Mrs. J. H. Connell of Cairo, two brothers, M. J. Pearce of Cairo and Richard W. Pearce of Monticello, Fla., besides numerous relatives and friends. The remains were brought to Cairo Wednesday afternoon and the funeral was held at the Poulk Cemetery three and one half miles north-west of town yesterday afternoon at one o'clock. The last sad rites were conducted by Dr. J. A. Wynne, pastor of the Cairo Baptist church, assisted by Rev. J. B. Wight. Many attended the services.
