Preston Collins Dies At Home In Whigham After being ill with influenza-pneumonia for only a few days, Mr. J. Preston Collins died at his home in Whigham last Monday morning at five o'clock. Mr. Collins was forty years old; a member of the Congregational church also a member of the Woodmen of the World. The remains were brought here to the home of his sister, Mrs. W. D. Barber, Monday afternoon and the funeral and burial services were held at Bowl Springs Church and cemetery Tuesday afternoon. He leaves a widow and five children also four sisters, namely: Mrs. W. D. Barber of Cairo, Mesdames John Stewart, Hamp Butler and Shade Rich, all of Ochlocknee, and two brothers, Messrs. Seaborn Collins of Meigs and J. H. Collins of Grady County.
