L. Mauldin, here last Wednesday morning about 8:15 o'clock. She had been ill for several months and had been here with her daughter for five weeks preceding her death. Heart trouble was the fatal disease. She was in her sixty-ninth year and was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Stephens was a native of Thomas County, being reared nine miles south of Boston. She was a resident of Boston for 35 years, this being her home at the time of her death. She was the widow of Judge T. D. Stephens, who died about 19 years ago. The remains were carried to Boston Thursday morning and the funeral services were held in the Baptist Church there Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. T. A. White of Thomasville, conducting the service. Interment followed in the family cemetery nine miles south of Boston. She is survived by two daughters, Mesdames J. L. Mauldin of Cairo, M. L.
