Bryant Dead In France Mr. J. L. Bryant, residing on Route A, from Cairo on last Monday received a message from Adjutant General Harris of the War Department that his son, Lawson F. Bryant was dead overseas, the "date and cause to be determined." Mr. Bryant was notified shortly after the armistice was signed that his son had been wounded in battle on November 11th, the day the armistice was signed and the last day that general fighting had took place. It is probable that he died as a result of wounds received on the last day but further information from the War Department is expected as soon as they can determine the cause and date of his death. So far as is known, this brings the total number of deaths of Grady county boys overseas to nine, besides a large number being wounded.
