Mr. Maxwell had undergone an operation several weeks ago for stomach trouble in an effort to relieve his suffering but this failed to give him relief and he quietly passed away about the middle of the afternoon. The remains were carried to his home, the funeral being held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Maxwell cemetery, and was laid to rest with W.O.W. honors. The Elpino lodge had charge of the services. The deceased is survived by his wife, several children and one brother, besides many relatives and friends. Mr. Maxwell was about 42 years of age.
