In Memory

In loving remembrance of Brother Tom Barrett

Brother Tom Barrett was born in the year of our Lord 1860 and died Nov. 19, 
1918.

Brother Barrett was a faithful and devoted husband.  He was a faithful and 
tender father; he was a loving and faithful member.

He connected himself to the church in the year of our Lord, 1895.

And the Lord, who doeth all things well, saw fit to call him from this world of 
trouble and sorrow to the Great Heavens where no trouble ever enters.

Be it therefore resolved,
First, that bend our will to God's will for He is Omnipotent, and doeth all 
things for the good of those who love Him.

Second, that in the death of Bro. Barrett, the Church has lost a faithful 
member, the community a devoted Christian, the children have lost a loving 
father, the wife a devoted husband.

Third, that we as a church, extend to the sorrowing family our heartfelt 
sympathy and pray God's blessings to rest on them.  May they strive to meet 
their loved on the Canaan Shore.

Fourth, that a copy of these resolutions be sent to our county papers for 
publication and a copy be sent to the bereaved family and to leave a page in 
our minute book to the loving memory of Brother Barrett.
