The last rites were in charge of Rev. N. G. Christopher of Whigham, with five of his sons and his only brother as pallbearers. Mr. Hand was born at Concord, southwest of Cairo, and spent about 45 years of his life in what is now Grady county. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a steady, upright man who had many friends. His wife, the former Miss Minnie M. Collins, died in October, 1920. Immediate survivors include six sons, Heywood Hand, Brooklyn, N.Y., Aubrey Hand, Griffin, Judson Hand, Hazel Park, Mich., Paul Hand, Sarasota, Fla.
