W. Wilcox, died at a local hospital at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27th, following an illness of about a month, pneumonia being the cause of death. His untimely death was a sad shock to relatives and the many friends of the family. Final rites were on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove church and cemetery, northeast of Cairo, with Revs. R. A. Bowen and F. O. Oates of Cairo, and Rev. F. A. Bone of Thomasville and South Georgia Funeral Home in charge. The deceased was born in Grady county Sept. 9th, 1936 and spent his life here. Immediate survivors include his grief-stricken parents; three brothers, Elmer, Herman and Pierce Wilcox, all with the armed forces overseas; five sisters, Inez, Deane, Janette, Doris and Julia Wilcox; his paternal grandfather, J.
