Gwinn Collins, 63, a native of what is now Grady county, died at the state hospital in Milledgeville at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 15th, following an illness of about five years. His death was a source of deep sorrow for his relatives and friends. Mr. Collins was born southeast of Cairo Oct. 19th, 1878, and would have observed his 64th birthday anniversary had he lived four days longer. He was the son of Mrs. Sabelia Mercer Collins and the late William Henry Collins, well- known residents of this section. His wife died in August, 1929. The remains arrived here last Saturday morning and the funeral was held at the Forsyth Bros. chapel at 5:30 p.m. last Saturday. Burial followed in the Baggett cemetery in this county. Rev. W. M. Blitch of Cairo and Forsyth-Bros. Funeral Home were in charge, with the following as pallbearers: P. M. Baggett, J. D. Thomason, Arthur and John Vanlandingham. Immediate survivors include his mother; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Baggett, Valdosta; a brother, H. Grady Collins, Miami; and two sisters, Mrs. Ira D. Lewis and Mrs. Thomas B.
