The Cairo Messenger, October 23, 1942
Mrs. Nettie Bess Bellett Cain, 31, wife of J. H. Cain, of Whigham who died in a 
hospital at one o'clock last Sunday following an illness of two weeks, was laid 
at final rest at Pine Forest, northwest of Cairo, at noon last Monday.

Rev. W. F. Smith, pastor of the Second Baptist Church here and South Georgia 
Funeral Home were in charge.

Mrs. Cain was born in Grady county Nov. 13th, 1910, the daughter of William 
Bellett and the late Mrs. Bellett, and spent her life in this section.  She 
became the wife of Mr. Cain at Spence Oct. 12th, 1940.  She had many friends to 
mourn her death.

Immediate survivors include her husband; her father, Mrs. Roma Miller, this 
county, and Mrs. Arstelma Cox of Florida; and three brothers, Therdo Bellett, 
Cairo, Arthur Bellett, Washington, D. C. and Kelzo Bellett, Orlando, Fla.
