Gandy Dies In Thomasville Thomasville, June 4 — The funeral of Charles T. Gandy was held at his residence late here this morning, his death having occurred yesterday. He had been in declining health for some months. Mr. Gandy was one of Thomasville's oldest native citizens, having been here since 1842. He served throughout the Civil War, losing an arm in the service. He was a member of W. D. Mitchell Camp of Confederate veterans and in his suit of Confederate gray was always a noticeable figure at all gatherings of veterans of that war. He was for a number of years coroner of Thomas County. Surviving Mr. Gandy are seven children, two daughters, Mrs. L. B. Rogers of Thomasville and Mrs. J. T. Dunbar, Cairo; Mrs. Frank Barrett and five sons, C. T. Gandy and Sam Gandy, Thomasville; John Gandy, Brunswick; Book Gandy, Arcadia, Florida and James Gandy, Jacksonville, Fla.
