A. Asbell, one of the county's well known citizens residing in the Bold Springs community, died last Monday afternoon, following a stroke of paralysis a few days previous. Mr. Asbell was seventy-nine years of age on April 6th and was a consistent member of the Methodist church having accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in early life. Mr. Asbell is survived by twelve children, nine boys, Thomas, Henry, Joe, Charles, John, Monroe, Frank, Robert and Ben; and three girls, Julia, Jennie and Lizzie, all of whom are grown. The funeral services were conducted at Bold Springs church last Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, the last sad rites being conducted by Rev. H. P. Stubbs. Interment followed at the cemetery nearby.
