Thomas Goes To Eternal Reward Mr. Harmon A. Thomas died at his home on East Bryan Street at ten o'clock last Tuesday morning. He had been sick for one year previous to his death, having spent several months of that time in the state sanitarium. Mr. Thomas was born September the 22nd, 1867, about twelve miles northwest of Cairo, in which community he lived until he moved to Cairo about twelve years ago. He was in his 62nd year. He was a devout member of the Pisgah Primitive Baptist church. Mr. Thomas was very quiet and unassuming in his nature, yet his upright, straight forward life had won for him many friends since he came into our midst. The funeral and burial services were held at the local cemetery at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, Rev. J. G. Christian conducting the services. He was a member of a family of twelve children, he being the second one to be called home. He leaves his widow, two daughters, Mesdames A. W. Miller of Cairo, C. W. Mills of Fort Myers, Florida and three sons, J. W. Thomas of Liberty, S. C., M. H. Thomas of Waycross and L. M. Thomas of Cairo, also eight brothers and two sisters to mourn his going-away.
