J. M. Owens The death angel has again visited our church and community and taken away our brother, J. M. Owens. We regret so much to lose such a useful and Christian man and always ready to do what he could to help the cause of Christ and the sick and needy in his community and was always at his conference and on duty when called upon. His place is vacant and can't be filled. He left a faithful wife and a host of kindred and friends to mourn his loss. He joined the Missionary Baptist Church at Pineforest when a young man and after moving to our section, he moved his membership to Capel and lived a faithful Christian until his Heavenly Father saw fit to take him home out of this world of sorrow to a home where sorrow is no more. Resolved, that we bow our heads and hearts to the Heavenly Father who doeth all things well and maketh no mistakes. Resolved further, that we send a copy to the county paper and one to his family and leave space on our minute book to his memory in years to come. This is done by order of the conference June 21st, 1919. R. L. Willis, J. S. Dollar, J. M.
