B. Dunlap, three miles above town. She had been in failing health for some time but was not considered to be in a serious condition until Monday morning when she suffered a stroke of paralysis. She never spoke after the attack and it was realized that death was only a matter of hours. Mrs. Dunlap was the wife of the late W. B. Dunlap, who died in 1916, and who is remembered by the citizens of our county as a soldier of the Confederacy who lost a leg in the cause of the South. He was also at one time a candidate for Treasurer of Grady county, receiving a very flattering vote. Mrs. Dunlap is survived by two brothers, J. A. Rigsby of this county and T. W. Rigsby of Mitchell County; also one son, J. B. Dunlap and three daughters, Mrs. C. C. Miller, Mrs. W. M. Prince and Mrs. Rufus Harper, all of this county. Mrs. Dunlap was 81 years old at the time of her death and had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for more than 50 years, her membership at the time of her death being with the Cairo Baptist Church. For several years she had been partially blind and had not attended church because of poor eyesight and her feeble condition in some time. Funeral services were conducted at four o'clock by Rev. J. P. Swann with large group of sorrowing relatives and friends, who will sincerely mourn her loss. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
