She had been sick for about ten days and we understand that she had a complication of troubles that caused her death. She was buried in Whigham Cemetery Friday afternoon, services conducted by Rev. Mr. Stinson, of Climax. Mrs. Trulock had resided in our town with her husband for about twenty-five years and during that time had endeared herself to many to whom the announcement of her death carried a pang of sorrow. The deceased has been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church, a loving and affectionate wife and a kind and tender mother. What more could be said of anyone? She leaves a devoted husband, four sons and a daughter to mourn her departure from us. Her children are all of age. They all know what a good mother they had. There was no request that they could make that their dear mother would not grant if it was in her power to do so. She has left her life before them to ever guard them in the ways of right as they battle through life. How well should they remember mother's advice and prayer for them from their cradle to her grave! Many times have we heard since her death, "A good mother is gone." Yes, she has passed from us and no friend can ever take the place of mother. The whole community together with the Messenger extends heart-felt sympathy to the bereaved ones in their loss. The hardest thing for husband in this life Is to part with a dear and loving wife. But the saddest thing for sister or brother Is to say good-bye to a dear old mother.
