G. Merritt, it was only to transplant from the life militant to that life which is all peace and joy. Mrs. Merritt leaves a husband, two daughters and four sons to mourn with a host of friends her going away; but we know that our loss is her infinite gain. Devoted and faithful as a wife; loving and self-sacrificing as a mother; thoughtful and exceeding kind as a neighbor; conscientious and true to convictions of duty and religion, she, without ostentation, lived to make brighter and better the sphere of life which was here. As a personal tribute, did the space at our command permit, we would be glad to write more of her sweet thoughtfulness and unselfishness as a neighbor, and her broad charity for every one. A noble woman has passed to her reward. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
