Cairo Messenger, January 18, 1907
Mrs. L. A. Free departed this life the second day of January, 1907.  Age forty 
years and six months.

This noble woman had lived a Christian life for a long time, unwavering in the 
true principles of Christianity.  She was true to her church, true to her every 
obligation , she was loving wife, affectionate mother, a good hearted neighbor 
and friend.  The husband and children have lost their best friend.  They have 
our sympathy, but their loss is her eternal gain.  Funeral services were 
conducted by R. G. Lewis, there being a large concourse of sympathizing friends 
present.  May the God of all grace sustain the bereaved family and cause His 
sweet spirit to hover around them and guide them unto all truth.
