Cairo Messenger, March 8, 1907
Rev. J. C. Parker, the late pastor of the M. E. Church of Cairo, died at his 
home on South Broad Street Wednesday morning.  Mr. Parker had been in ill 
health for several months and the end was not unexpected.  His death will be 
learned with much sadness not only this community, but throughout the whole 
state.  He was universally loved by all who knew him.  His remains were carried 
to Sandersville for interrment yesterday.
