M. Poulk, passed away from earth, on Saturday morning, the 3rd inst. He was a mere infant, about four years of age, and in a harmless way, was idolized by his father and mother. A pathetic affliction, due to a cardiac malformation, made him only the more tenderly beloved and treasured by his parents. How empty the loving arms and how sad the fond hearts, within which and upon which, during four years, he had constantly rested. The funeral services, conducted by Dr. R. H. Harris, were held at the parent's residence at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, the 4th inst., and were attended by a large number of relatives and sympathizing friends, who afterwards, followed the little white casket to its place of interrment in the new cemetery. "Safe in the arms of Jesus," the precious little boy now rests, forever more -- since "Of such is the kingdom of Heaven."
