Another Good Woman Gone
Mrs. Mary C. Maxwell, wife of Mr. J. R. Maxwell, deceased, who has been an 
invalid for the past year or so, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie 
M. Bell in Cairo on Aug. 29th.  She was laid to rest by her husband at Pinehill 
cemetery.

Mrs. Maxwell is survived by nine children, two sisters, three brothers, thirty 
four grand children and two great grand children.

She had been a member of the Methodist church since her early youth.

Mrs. Maxwell was born in Decatur November 11, 1839.

Thus has passed away another good woman and who is now at rest in that home 
prepared for "the weary."  The Messenger tenders condolence to the sorrowing 
relatives and friends.
