He was badly mangled up by it hitting him. The engineer on the "short" found him Tuesday morning when he came through on his train. Mr. Poppell leaves a wife and six small children, three sisters and two brothers. The remains were moved to his sister's Mrs. Herbert Swatts in Whigham and he was later carried to Trinity Cemetery where he was buried.
