"Newsy Notes From Whigham"
Whigham was shocked Monday morning when the sudden death of Mr. John Dollar was 
announced.  He got up early in the morning, fed his horses and returned to his 
house apparently as well as usual.  He decided, as breakfast was not ready, 
that he would take a smoke and reaching for his pipe death struck him.  Dr. 
McCord was called and pronounced it acute indigestion.  Mr. Dollar leaves a 
wife and eight little girls to mourn his loss.  The remains were laid to rest 
in Open Pond cemetery ten miles from Whigham.  The family have the sympathy of 
the entire community.
