Cairo Messenger, December 20, 1907
"Personal and Business Locals"
We regret to chronicle the death of Mrs. R. NeSmith who received a fall while 
visiting her son in Cypress, Fla., and from which she never recovered.  The 
remains were brought to Cairo where they were laid to rest.  She leaves five 
children and several grandchildren to mourn her going.  Mrs. NeSmith was in her 
70th year.  The Messenger tenders sympathy to the bereaved children in their 
loss of "mother."
