"Newsy Notes From Whigham"
News of the death of Mrs. Tom Jones, who was on a visit to her parents in 
Statesboro, came last Wednesday as a great shock to her many friends in and 
around Whigham.  Mr. Jones received a phone message Tuesday just in time to 
catch the first east bound train and at Savannah he took a special train to 
Statesboro, but on his arrival he found his wife unconscious and she soon 
passed away to the bright beyond.  Mr. Jones and his little two weeks old babe 
have the sympathy of his hundreds of friends in Whigham and all over Grady 
county in his hour of sadness.
