Cairo Messenger, March 6, 1908
"Newsy Notes From Whigham"
Mrs. David Mashburn died at their home near town Thursday evening last of 
Pneumonia, after several days illness.  She leaves a devoted husband, two sons, 
Messrs. Willie and Pomp Mashburn, and Mrs. Hattie Burns.  Funeral servides were 
conducted by her pastor, Rev. Cannon.  Interment at Tired creek cemetery.  The 
family have the sympathy of many friends in their hour of sadness.
