Harrison, Former Cairoite, Passed Away Saturday Hardy M. Harrison passed away Saturday, September 28, 1968, following an extended illness. Funeral services were held Monday, September 30, at Tired Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder O. V. Marshall officiating. Burial was in Tired Creek Cemetery with Leon Harrison, Clinton Harrison, Calvin Harrison Eldridge Vickers, Bonial Vickers, T. J. Gay as pallbearers. Born in Grady County, September 29, 1878, he was a son of Matthew Gilbert and Permellia Davis Harrison. Mr. Harrison moved to Wauchula, Fla. from Cairo 50 years ago and made his residence there since then. He was engaged in farming and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gladys Lewis Harrison, Wauchula, Fla.; three children, Mrs. Alma Burgett, Flint, Michigan, Mrs. Agnes Lee, Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Gloria Farmer of Salem, New Jersey; ten grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Perry D. Harrison, Lacy Harrison both of Grady County, Johnny Harrison, Thomasville; two sisters, Mrs. Buford Judson, Cairo, Mrs. Ella Gilbert, Thomasville.
