M. Jones. The deceased was born and reared in Decatur county. She was converted and gave her life to God in early life, by uniting with the Missionary Baptist church at Magnolia where she remained a faithful member until death. She was happily married to Mr. R. L. Sellers in the year 1904. To them were born two children, one of them preceded her to her heavenly home. As a daughter she was gentle and obedient. As a wife she was loving and true. As a mother she was kind, untiring in her works of love and charity. In her the sick found a true friend. She leaves a husband and a seven month old babe, an aged father and mother, six sisters, five brothers and a host of friends to mourn her death. But they weep not as those who have no hope, for she told her father a few hours before she died, that there was nothing between her and God and asked him to go home with her. Weep not, father and mother. To the husband we say, trust in God who doeth all things well. To the brothers and sisters we say, put your trust in her Saviour and some day you will be an unbroken family around the throne of God. Resolved 1. That in her death Magnolia church has lost a faithful member. Angel of patience set to calm, Our feverish brows with cooling palm, To lay the storm of hope and fear, And reconcile life's smile and tear. The throbs of wounded bride to still and make our own Father's will. To weary hearts to sorrowing homes. God's meekest angels gently comes. No power has she to banish pain, Or give us back our lost again, And yet in tenderest love our dear, And heavenly father sends him here. Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep, From which one never awakes to weep. Hattie Harrison, Mrs. A. G. Harrison This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.3 Kb
