Mr. Casper Walker, upon whom the hand of affliction has fallen so heavily, died last Friday, 21st inst., and was buried Saturday at Bold Springs church, 7 miles east of Cairo. Mr. Casper Walker was a model citizen and much esteemed by all who knew him. He worked hard and brought on a premature decline. He, by industry and economy, made a good living and accumulated considerable property. He was a faithful member of the Methodist church and led a Christian life and will be sadly missed. He leaves a wife, four children, four sisters and a brother, Dr. W. A. Walker, to mourn his loss. The Messenger joins the famiy and many friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
