"Oak Hill Items"
Our section was much shocked and grieved at the sudden death of Esq. Elisha L. 
Broom, on the morning of the 25th.  A stroke of apoplexy carried him into the 
unknown land on short notice.

Mr. Broom was one of Grady's foremost citizens, and in his death we sustain an 
irreparable loss.

Rev. J. P. Swan conducted the funeral services at the family burying ground, 
Saturday at 10 a.m. to one of the largest gatherings of relatives and friends 
hitherto collected in these parts on such an occasion.

Mr. Broom leaves a most excellent family and leaves them well provided for.
