He was born May 23rd, 1906, and the two boys constituted an element of great happiness in the home. But it pleased the Great God to make a breach in the happy home-circle and so little Edward was transplanted to bloom forever in the garden of Paradise. He was taken ill on Wednesday, 4th, and steadily grew worse until the end came. All in the reach of anxious, loving parents and friends was done, but relentless disease did its work till the little body, after a brave fight, finally yielded to the power of death. As twin brothers, Edward and William were inseparable in their companionships; where one went the other would be sure to go; what one did the other would be sure to do, and their feeling of inter-dependence one upon the other marked their every-day life. The boys were indeed a light in the home. It was the happy privilege of the writer to be much in that home and the tender relation between parents and children was pleasant to see. Few children have behaved more sweetly under the hand of disease and intense suffering than did little Edward, his patience was beautiful. At intervals during the very last day in the world, he would reach out his little hand and tenderly stroke his father's face, with child-like tenderness. Ever and anon he would call for his dear mother, and with his little arms clasped about her neck, would cover her face with kisses in a manner that was most touching. But dear little Edward has now left earthly relationships and environments, and has gone to his new home beyond the stars and while loved ones on earth are weeping in sorrow, angels in heaven are rejoicing over his safe arrival in the Kingdom of Glory. Bye, bye, dear Edward; God grant that we may meet thee in Heaven. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/gafiles/ File size: 2.5 Kb
