Mr. T. D. Hawthorn Laid To Rest
     Mr. T. D. Hawthorn, after a long and lingering illness, died last Sunday 
afternoon about 6 o'clock at the home of his mother in Cairo, on West Decatur 
St., in the 33rd year of his age, and was laid to rest in the family burial 
grounds about 4 miles south of Cairo at 4 o'clock last Monday.  Rev. Walter C. 
Jones performed the burial rites.  The Messenger joins the numerous friends of 
the family in extending condolence to the bereaved ones in this hour of sad 
affliction.
