Miss Elvie Dickey Laid To Rest
Miss Elvie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dickey of Beachton, Ga., died last 
Wednesday morning at Sparks, Ga. where she was attending the Collegiate 
Institute at that place.

She had been sick only a few weeks, but that fatal disease, pneumonia, sapped 
her young life at the age of 15 years.

Miss Elvie went to meet her Father.  Her remains arrived in Cairo Thursday on 
train 189 when it was met by sorrowing ones.  The interment took place at Cairo 
Cemetery surrounded by loved ones and sorrowing relatives and friends.

The funeral exercises were held at the Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. E. 
E. Rose, assisted by Rev. Mr. Reese, President of the Spark Collegiate 
Institute.

The Messenger extends sympathy to the bereaved parents and family in the loss 
of their loved ones, knowing that He who gave can soothe their bleeding hearts.
