The Cairo Messenger, Friday, January 27, 1911
We regret to chronicle the sad untimely death of Mr. Claude L. Hudson, a former 
Cairo boy, at his home in Abbeville, Ala., last Friday afternoon, the 20th inst.

He had been out to repair the telephone line between Abbeville and Headland, on 
the day before, and was returning home when he was thrown from his motorcycle 
and fatally injured.  He was found in the road early Friday morning, in an 
unconscious condition, and never regained consciousness before death.

He leaves a wife and one child, of Abbeville, Ala., a father and mother, Mr. 
and Mrs. C. L. Hudson, and several brothers and sisters, and many relatives of 
Grady county, to mourn his loss.

The Messenger, with a host of friends, tenders condolence to the bereaved 
ones.
