Good Man Gone To His Reward
Mr. R. L. Massey who resided in South Cairo departed this life at 5 o'clock 
Thursday morning just as the light from the East was lifting the curtain of 
night, when his spirit gently took its flight.  The last sad rites were 
conducted by Rev. Walter C. Jones in the afternoon at the Cairo cemetery.  Mr. 
Massey was 73 years last November and had been ill for many months.  The 
immediate cause of his death was dropsy of the heart.  He leaves seven 
children, three boys and four girls, these, with a host of other relatives and 
friends, mourn his departure.
