The Cairo Messenger, Friday, March 10, 1911
 Died, at the home of her parents, Josephine, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
G. G. Gainous, aged eight months.  This precious child was strong, healthy and 
well-developed, with the promise of a long life until that terrible disease, 
pneumonia, fastened upon her causing her death last Friday night.  The 
sincerest sympathy is felt for the bereaved parents in their great sorrow.
     The funeral was conducted Saturday afternoon, in the City Cemetery, by 
Rev. W. E. Towson, in the midst of a number of sympathetic friends and 
mourners.
