W. Dixon We, the Brothers and Sisters of the Loyal Methodist Church, are bowed in deep sorrow and grief over the death of one of our most esteemed and loved members, Bro. B. W. Dixon, whose death occurred March 19th, at his residence four miles west of Whigham. Bro. Dixon was for a number of years a faithful member of the Congregational Methodist Church, and on account of trouble that arose in the said Congregational Church that failed to be amicably adjusted, he and a few other members came out of said church and organized what is known as the Loyal Methodist Church; and although he has been afflicted some time and under treatment of a doctor, he has, notwithstanding his afflictions, proved himself to be a good and faithful member. He was deacon of the church at the time of his death. He was a faithful officer and never flinched from duty. While we regret very much to give him up, we sincerely believe that our loss is his eternal gain, and while we know it is impossible for him to return to us, we can, by the help and grace of our dear Lord, go to him where friends and loved ones never part, and we pray that the Great Healer of all troubles will lovingly bind up the sorrowing and bleeding hearts of his loved ones and friends, and fit and prepare each one to meet him in the Glory World, is the prayer and desire of the undersigned members of the Loyal Methodist Church. Also that this tribute to our dear brother and friend, be published in the Cairo Messenger, and a copy be sent to his wife and daughter, and also entered upon the minutes of the Church. T. J.
