Death Of Mrs. Elwell
Yesterday as the shades of evening enveloped the earth in their sombre mantle, 
the soul of Mrs. John Elwell passed on to the Great Beyond.  This young woman 
has been in the city for some time, but only last week she was attacked with 
pneumonia and her death was the result of the ravages of that disease.

She was formerly Miss Hughes near Cairo and the funeral will occur today at the 
family burying ground at Pierce Chapel, near Cairo.  Mrs. Elwell was thirty 
years of age and married Mr. Elwell five years ago.  She leaves no children.
