E. and Matilda Clay, at the tender age of nine years, we bow in humble submission to His Divine will. Sometimes a blessing comes in disguise. The Lord is too good to be unkind. We must remember whatever the Lord does is for the best. When He calls our loved ones home, we should remember He had just given them to this world that we might learn more of His kindness through them. Mellie passed away quietly Friday night, November 3rd. She had some of the loveliest traits that a child could possess. She was always kind and affectionate and ready and willing to comfort those of the family who were sick or distressed, and to do all that her loving little hands could do. Her life was always one of kindness, and to know her was to love her. May His Spirit who doeth all things well, rest sweetly and lead gently those of the family.
