The Passing Away of A Good Woman
Last Sunday morning at 1:30 death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. H. 
McManeus and bore from earth to Heaven the sweet spirit of Mrs. L. E. Powell.  
In her going she leaves four children, mother, two sisters, Mrs. E. E. North 
and Mrs. B. H. McManeus and two brothers, Messrs. V. C. and E. B. Hilton.  Her 
illness was a short duration and everything was done by her attending physician 
and loving kindred and friends, but He had called and her spirit fled to be 
with her redeemer for evermore.  She was laid to rest in the Cairo cemetery 
Monday about noon, surrounded by loved ones and sorrowing friends.
