In Memory of Bro. Whit Gainous
He was born in Dooly County on October 15, 1853. He was baptized in the 
fellowship of Union Springs Baptist Church in July 1887, from which he removed 
to Pine Level Baptist Church on September 10th, 1904. Brother Gainous remained 
with us until his death, which occurred on July 28, 1911. He was a true and 
loving brother and a devoted husband and father. He leaves a wife, eight 
children, three brothers and one sister to mourn his death. 

Resolved: 
First: That we bow in humble submission to Him who doeth all things well 
Second: That we tender the bereaved family our condolence in their deep sorrow. 
Third: That a record of this memorial be placed upon the church record for 
future reference.
Fourth:  That the dear sister and children of the deceased brother, be 
presented with a copy of this memorial as a token of our love for them in their 
bereavement.
