Edgar was one of the best known and loved boys of this section. We knew him but to love him. He was sunshine in the home and carried sunshine wherever he went. He will not only be missed in the home, but by all who ever had an opportunity to come in close touch with his life. His lovely disposition, his smiling face and winning ways, were always an inspiration to those with whom he came in contact. It is hard to give up such an unusually promising boy of his age, sixteen years, nine months and seventeen days; but we must be submissive to Him who doeth all things well. We can hardly realise that he is gone from us, but: While we weep as Jesus wept, While we sleep as Jesus slept, With his Saviour he shall rest, Crowned and glorified and blest. He leaves a father, mother, one brother and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. The family has the heartfelt sympathy of their friends in their time of sorrow and heartache. The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Johnson cemetery by Rev. Fitzgerald, of Havana, Fla. A large crowd met to pay their last sad farewell to him here on earth.
