Mr. Atkinson was a former citizen of Grady county, and leaves many friends and relatives to mourn his loss. We below publish an article from the Albany Herald: Noah Atkinson, who had been in the employ of the Acme Brewing. He was Company's agency here for the past six months or longer, committed suicide at his home next to the waterworks plant at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon. He took a dose of carbolic acid, which he had poured into a bottle of coca cola. He came into the house with the poison, thus prepared, and said he was going to kill himself. The household was thrown into great commotion when he suited the action to the word and drank the deadly poison. Dr. L. E. Welch was called in but the man was past human aid. Atkinson had been in Savannah the past few days, returning home last night, or this morning. He moved to Albany about a year ago from Geneva, Ala. He was married and leaves a wife and two children 9 and 6 years old. Funeral arrangements will be made later. No cause is known for the rash deed.
