W. K. Hawthorne Is Claimed By Death

W. K. Hawthorne, the fifteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hawthorne , who 
lived about four miles south of town, died at his home last Sunday afternoon 
about five o'clock.

He was taken sick with a severe headache Friday night, a doctor was called and 
the disease was pronounced malaria; he suffered severely with his head up to 
his death Sunday afternoon.

He was a pupil of the Cairo Schools.  W. K. was a steady, reliable child and 
will be missed by a number of his friends as well as by loved ones.

The funeral and burial services were held at the Hawthorn Cemetery, near his 
home, Monday afternoon at three o'clock.  Rev. W. C. Jones conducted the 
services.
