J. Harrison Passes Away May 3rd On May 3rd, the Death Angel visited the home of Mrs. M. J. Harrison and took her dear companion aged 73 years and 9 months. He was born in 1846 and lived a true and honest life, until last Monday when God saw fit to take him home. He was one of the old Confederate soldiers. Mr. Harrison was sick 14 weeks and 2 days. He was a great sufferer until the end. All was done for him that physicians and loving hands could do, but none could stay the cold hand of death when the summons called him home. He was laid to rest Tuesday evening at 4:30 o'clock in the Tired Creek Cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. McCloud of Climax. Mr. Harrison leaves a wife and eleven children, 8 boys and 3 girls, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his going away. May God's richest blessings be with each and everyone is our prayer.
