Maxwell Died Last Thursday Mr. Jesse N. Maxwell, one of Grady county's most prominent and influential citizens, died at his home about 11 miles south of town near Reno, last Thursday morning, October 9th, at four o'clock. He had been in failing health for some time, been seriously ill since Sunday afternoon. He was in his 81st year. The deceased had been a member of the Primitive Baptist church since his youth. He was twice married, his second wife, Mrs. Regina Maxwell, survives him. He was the father of 12 children, four boys and eight girls. He was one of the oldest citizens in Grady county, and during his long life, he set an example that will uphold the integrity and honor of any people. The funeral services were held at four o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Maxwell cemetery near Reno. Besides his widow he is survived by eight daughters and four sons and a number of grandchildren.
