K. Norton Victim of Flu-Pneumonia After a brief illness of just one week, Mr. J. K. Norton, died of flu-pneumonia on Thursday afternoon, March 18th, at 5 o'clock. Kedar, as he was familiarly known, was living with his father and mother 8 miles north of Cairo and looking after them in their old age. He was 33 years old at his death. His was an unusually sad death, as his father and mother were both in bed with the "flu" and neither one could attend his burial which was at Pine Level church on Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. P. Swann at the residence of his father and mother. Kedar was a devoted son and loving brother. He had a ready smile, gentle, kind word for everyone which won him many friends, who will sadly miss him in years to come. He is survived by his father and mother, three brothers, Fuller, of Albany, Will of Crawford, Fred who is with his father and mother, and three sisters, Mrs. L. L. Cone and Mrs. Hiram McMillan of near Cairo and Mrs. J. B. Harmon of Ochlocknee.
