A. Knight Dies Following An Illness Mr. Charles A. Knight, A. C. L. section foreman at Pine Park, one of the county's most genial citizens, passed away at a local hospital early last Sunday afternoon following an illness of slightly more than two weeks. General septic anemia, resulting from an absessed tooth, caused his death. He was 46 years of age. By his jovial disposition and friendliness, he made hundreds of friends and his passing brought grief to many hearts. He was always loyal and devoted to his family and their grief has been especially great. Funeral and interment were at the Bold Springs Methodist Church, seven miles east of Cairo, on Monday afternoon. The church was filled to overflowing with friends who gathered for the last rites, attesting the esteem in which the deceased was held. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. Charlie Jackson, pastor of the Cairo Methodist Church, assisted by Rev. A. T. Hart, pastor of the Barnett's Creek Baptist Church, and Rev. C. F. Barton, pastor of the Cairo Methodist Circuit. The burial service was in charge of the Cairo Lodge No. 299, Free and Accepted Masons, of which the deceased was a loyal member. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey Clay and Miss Fannie Knight, of Pine Park; three brothers, G. W. Knight of Cairo, Alex Knight of Fowlstown, and Henry Knight of Blakely; and three sisters, Mrs. Will Hicks of Ochlocknee, Mrs. L. J. Chambliss, of Hilton and Mrs. T. M. Red of Pine Park.
