He was 80 years of age and had been in poor health for several months, although there was little warning that the end was so near. Mr. Mobley was an upright and honorable citizen and had a large family connection throughout Grady and Decatur counties. Funeral and interment were at the Open Pond Missionary Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a member on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Mack Robinson, of Bainbridge, officiating. Surviving are one brother, Mr. Charles Mobley, of Cairo; one sister, Mrs. J. H. P. Lewis, of Cairo; four sons, A. B., R. H., L. J., and Oscar Mobley; and one daughter, Mrs. Lonnie Daughtry.
